Universal Engineering College - Courses Offered

B-Tech – Mechanical Engineering

This is 4 year B.Tech programme, affiliated to Calicut University of Kerala and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The method of teaching in the School includes lecture, discussions, practical tutorials, course assignment, on the job training and project assignments. By the time student completes the 4 year programme, he / she will be fully equipped with the required theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the technical field of Electronics and Communication as the area of specialization.

The duration of the course shall be four academic years or eight semesters.

Students should secure not less than 75% of attendance in class and related coursework assignments in each course.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the most sought after and finest engineering branch. The strength of the department lies in its highly qualified and expert faculty besides its excellent non-teaching staff. To complement this is the presence of the diligent students who epitomize enthusiasm and devotion. Thus, it has been a firm resolve to keep up with the modern day trends and in the process produce erudite and conscientious engineers.

This undergraduate course aims at providing the fecund brains with rudimentary knowledge. Instructions are imparted in the areas of energy conversion, refrigeration, design of mechanical components and systems, production engineering, management techniques, computer programming, numerical analysis and Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM).
